2009 Be Beautiful Be Yourself – Jet Set Fashion Show Kicks-Off At SAKS!
Nearly 300 people turned out for the Be Beautiful Be Yourself – Jet Set Fashion Show Kick Off Party on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at SAKS Fifth Avenue in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
This event kicked off what will be one of Denver’s largest fundraisers in 2009 with Special Guest and honoree Music Icon Quincy Jones, a high-end fashion show orchestrated by Saks Fifth Avenue top models, local sports celebrities, Denver Nuggets Dancers and beautiful models who happen to have Down syndrome.

Through the largest private contribution dedicated to people with Down syndrome, the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation took a groundbreaking step last year to significantly enhance the lives of people with Down syndrome by opening the first global institute that will comprehensively address basic research, clinical research and clinical care. The Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome is a collaboration between the University of Colorado Denver, the University of Colorado Boulder, and The Children’s Hospital. It is headquartered on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The 2009 Be Beautiful Be Yourself – Jet Set Fashion Show will benefit this new global institute and expects to raise $1 million with 1200 people in attendance.
