Katie Frank, MHS, OTR/L is an Occupational therapist who has over 13 years of experience with 11 years specifically working with individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages. She currently works as an OT with the Family Clinics within the University of Illinois at Chicago Institute on Disability and Human Development and is a co-instructor of the undergraduate course DHD 202-Disability, Health, and Society.

She is a PhD candidate in Disability Studies where her dissertation topic is parents as the primary sexuality educators for their adolescents with Down syndrome. The majority of her work has focused on individuals with the diagnosis of Down syndrome. She has spoken nationally on the topic to professionals and caregivers alike.

She recently completed research to establish fine motor and self-care milestones for individuals with Down syndrome, which has been published in the Journal of Intellectual Disability Research.
