As Chief Development Officer for Global Down Syndrome Foundation Jennifer Hendrick will guide the development team in a long-term strategy to generate new revenue through major gifts allowing Global to further its mission of improving the lives of people with Down syndrome through research, medical care, education and advocacy.

Hendrick joins Global from Advocate Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic division of Advocate Health Care, which is the largest health care system in Illinois. During her time with Advocate, she launched and completed a $23M capital campaign, and her team achieved record-setting philanthropic results for the system for three consecutive years, adding to the $35M raised annually by the foundation.

Hendrick’s accomplishments during her nine years at Advocate include strengthening the Development Council and Physicians’ Philanthropy Council, recruiting talented new members to the councils, and working with volunteer leadership to build a culture of philanthropy. Hendrick was also a leader for the Advocate Charitable Foundation in creating educational opportunities and formal programs for physicians and caregivers to connect to grateful patients and their families.

Hendrick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, and was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado where her family still resides. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and playing tennis. She is an avid sports fans, and her favorite teams include the Kansas Jayhawks, and the 2016 World Series Champions, the Chicago Cubs.
