Beginning in 2013, The Linda Crnic Annual Down Syndrome Symposiums feature leading researchers and clinicians in a series of academic presentations of aimed at educating medical students and professionals about the latest research and best practices surrounding Down syndrome. Lectures are held at University of Colorado School of Medicine Anschutz Medical Campus, which also houses the Crnic Institute.

Trisomy 21 Research Society (T21RS) is the first non-profit scientific organization of researchers studying Down syndrome, founded to promote basic and translational research on Down syndrome and to apply new scientific knowledge to develop improved treatments and cures.


Global Down Syndrome Foundation Research & Medical Care Roundtable at the Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action

Co-organized with the Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action, the Global Roundtable is a free benefit to registrants of the DSAIA Annual Leadership Conference and features renowned scientist and medical professionals.

Global Down Syndrome Educational Series

The Global Down Syndrome Educational Series was launched in 2006 and brings nationally and internationally renowned Down syndrome experts to Colorado for two full days of lectures. The first day is designed for professionals who impact the lives of individuals who have Down syndrome, and the second is for parents and caregivers. Topics focus on accurate and updated medical, educational, and therapeutic best practices.

Keystone Symposia Conference on Down Syndrome Research

For the first time in its 44-year history the Keystone Symposia is holding a national conference on Down syndrome, “Biology of Down Syndrome: Impacts Across the Biomedical Spectrum.” The conference will cover all aspects of Down syndrome research from genetics and cell biology as well as provide a forum to promote translation of research toward therapy. Session topics include: DS at the Cellular Level, Gene Regulation in DS, Genetics and Epidemiology of DS, Dysregulation of Cellular Pathways in DS, Cognition and Alzheimer’s Disease in DS, and Therapy – Present and Future.
