About GLOBAL’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Dance Program with the Sie Center for Down Syndrome and the Colorado Ballet
The Be Beautiful Be Yourself Dance Program is comprised of three class groups (based on experience) serving individuals with Down syndrome ages 5-17. This program is a fun and dynamic collaboration between GLOBAL, the Colorado Ballet, and the Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Taught by instructors and professional dancers from the Colorado Ballet, dancers learn the fundamentals of ballet and build upon their knowledge year after year. The program runs for two seasons each year – Spring and Fall. Each semester is 16 weeks long and culminates in seasonal recitals for family, friends, and supporters. At the end of every calendar year, two of our dancers are chosen to perform in the Colorado Ballet’s official production of The Nutcracker!
