margin: 0 0 10px -20px;\">Our Impact<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003e7e; font-size: 85%;\">GLOBAL was established in 2009 specifically to address the life-threatening lack of research and medical care for people with Down syndrome at our National Institutes of Health (NIH). For nearly two decades, Down syndrome was one of the least funded genetic conditions at NIH.\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003e7e; font-size: 85%;\">With the support of our families, scientists, medical professionals, and champions in Congress and at the NIH, GLOBAL successfully advocated for the creation of a groundbreaking \u201ctrans-NIH\u201d funding project called the INCLUDE Project.
