Heather Garcia, Director of Health and Wellness Programs, Global Down Syndrome FoundationHeather Garcia is the Director of Health & Wellness Programs for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. She started at Global in 2014 and manages the health and wellness programs serving children and adults with Down syndrome, including the Dare to Play Football Camp with Ed McCaffrey, Global’s Denver Broncos Cheerleaders Dare to Cheer Camp, the Dare to Play Soccer Camp with Regis University and the Colorado Rapids, the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Dance Class with the Colorado Ballet, the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fitness Class with Pure Barre and the Global Down Syndrome Educational Series.

Before joining Global, Heather was the Development & Donor Relations Manager for Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and Kroenke Sports Charities. Her role in community relations focused on development, events, programs and fundraising, and she was responsible for annual social events and camps such as the Colorado Avalanche Charity Brunch and the Mile High Dreams Gala.

Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. A Colorado native, Heather enjoys running, hiking and spending time outdoors with her dog, Hank. She resides in Denver.
