9 News Series Explores Leukine, a Drug in Trial to Potentially Slow or Prevent Alzheimer’s Disease
Huntington Potter, Ph.D., is Director of Alzheimer’s Research at the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome; one of his many accomplishments in his distinguished careers is discovering the mechanistic relationship between Alzheimer’s disease and Down syndrome. Dr. Potter and his lab at the Rocky Mountain Alzheimer’s Disease Center, a Global affiliate, are conducting a clinical trial of the FDA-approved drug Leukine to determine whether it is safe and can help slow or prevent the progression of Alzheimer’s. This journey is the focus of a new series on Channel 9 News:
