Elizabeth Draney
Executive Director, Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands
Elizabeth Draney started as the Executive Director for the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands in February 2025. She brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, program leadership and relationship building. Her professional background includes working as a partner project and relationship manager at FNBO, where she collaborated with national and international companies in the credit card co-brand division. Prior to that, she led alumni programming, events, and engagement for 13 years at the University of Nebraska – Omaha, during which time her programs received 38 awards, including one international award.
Elizabeth’s personal connection to the disability community began over 20 years ago when her father began losing his sight. As the proud parent of two children, including her son Daniel, who has Down syndrome, Elizabeth is passionate about advocating for individuals with disabilities and creating opportunities for them to thrive. Elizabeth and her husband, Heath, along with their children Samantha and Daniel, are longtime residents of Omaha. Known for her love of glitter, celebrating holidays, and crafting, Elizabeth brings creativity and enthusiasm to everything she does.
