Jane Lynch Talks About “Glee” Character’s Baby With Down Syndrome
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jane Lynch previewed a little of what “Glee” fans can expect from the show’s fourth season.
Regarding her character, Sue Sylvester, and Sylvester’s new baby, she told The Hollywood Reporter: “Now she has this vulnerable little baby with Down syndrome just like her sister had Down syndrome and Becky has Down syndrome … and she will protect them like a momma bear.”
“Glee’s” embrace of characters with Down syndrome is part of a growing trend of the media’s growing inclusiveness, including models and TV stars with Down syndrome.
