PBS Spotlights Crnic Institute Research on Down Syndrome & Alzheimer’s Disease

What

Rocky Mountain PBS will spotlight the Linda Crnic Institute’s groundbreaking research connecting Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease on its flagship TV show “Colorado State of Mind.” Interviews with renowned scientist Huntington Potter explore why 100 percent of people with Down syndrome are expected to have the brain pathology of Alzheimer’s and up to 50 percent will have the symptoms associated with the disease. How studying people with Down syndrome may hold the key to therapies or a cure for Alzhiemer’s is explored. To learn more about Potter’s establishment of the first Alzheimer’s disease clinical care and research center based on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Colorado, you can listen to his recent conversation with Colorado Public Radio.
