The Global Down Syndrome Foundation is excited to host the 2014 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Gala in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, May 7th!
We need enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers who are interested in helping create an amazing evening that will make a positive difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome. Volunteers should be 18 or older and are needed at various times throughout the week. Volunteers will assist with such duties as:
- Serving as a Pal for a model with Down syndrome
- Assisting guests with directions and questions
- Assisting with check-in/registration
- Greeting guests at the hotel
- Greeting guests at the VIP/reception area
- Assisting Global staff
- Serving as spotters for the live auction
- Supervising the volunteer room
Volunteers will be provided with food at the event.
The Be Beautiful Be Yourself Gala is one of the primary fundraisers for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, benefiting clinical research, medical care and programs across the United States.
