Program Overview

The Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHC) provides multidisciplinary medical care to patients from birth to age 21. The Sie Center was established thanks to a generous gift from the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation. The clinic officially opened its doors on November 15, 2010 as part of the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome at the University of Colorado (CU) School of Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

The goal of the Sie Center is to work as a team with families and primary care physicians in caring for children with Down syndrome. Its mission is to provide the best clinical care and therapeutic intervention to children with Down syndrome and up-to-date information on Down syndrome to parents, physicians, and the community. The Sie Center participates in collaborative ground-breaking clinical research trials and serves as a resource for families and primary care providers.

The Sie Center serves more than 1,100 unique patients from 28 states and 6 countries

Departments & Clinics

A wide range of conditions associated with Down syndrome are addressed through specialists in many departments.

The Sie Center coordinates appointments with other pediatric clinics to allow for specialized care. They offer appointments with Pulmonary, Otolaryngology, Cardiology and other subspecialties.

The multidisciplinary Sie Center houses seven specialty clinics:
