The Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s 2017 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show in Denver honored Eva Longoria and Madeline Stuart with the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award and featured celebrities Jamie Foxx, Quincy Jones, Marisa Tomei, Joe Manganiello, Matt Dillon, John C. McGinley, Denis O’Hare and more.

DENVER: Be Beautiful Be Yourself 2016 Chair Maureen Regan Cannon, along with Kick-Off Chairs Sharon Magness Blake & Ernie Blake and past chairs Anna & John J. Sie, Sharon Magness Blake & Ernie Blake, Ricki Rest and Nancy Sevo, hosted a kick-off party in Denver with a brief program to jump start the fundraising for this year’s marqee event. The party featured self-advocates as well as other notable Global supporters from the community. NEBRASKA: Global’s 2016 Ambassador Louis Rotella IV and his family, along with 2016 Chairs Maureen Regan Cannon & Reynolds G. Cannon, hosted a kickoff for the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show in Omaha, Nebraska on April 20. Global President and CEO Michelle Sie Whitten, and Dr. Joaquín Espinosa, Associate Director of Science at the Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome, presented a brief program to the attendees.

Global’s 2016 Ambassador Louis Rotella IV and his family, along with 2016 Chairs Maureen Regan Cannon & Reynolds G. The annual fundraiser was held Saturday, Oct. 24 and raised a record-breaking $2 million for research and medical care.
