COVID-19 Emergency Relief GLOBAL Grants
Serving GLOBAL’s Esteemed Organization Members
***APPLICATIONS CLOSED***

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation is here for people with Down syndrome, their families, and the professionals who serve our community. During this devastating pandemic, we have doubled our efforts to save and transform the lives of people with Down syndrome.

To this end, GLOBAL is working hard to (1) Update and co-publish the DS/COVID-19 Q&A in English and Spanish, (2) Provide key support in the fight against medical rationing and disability discrimination, and (3) Organize a GLOBAL webinar on the search for a COVID-19 vaccine and various treatments in May or June. Please remember to link to our DS/COVID-19 Q&A and other resources from your websites. Thank you!

For our members, we are immediately providing COVID-19 Emergency Relief GLOBAL Grants (a total of $90,000) to GLOBAL Organizational Members who are most in need. Starting today, GLOBAL Members can apply for two available grant tracks:

  1. COVID-19 Emergency Family Relief GLOBAL Grants – GLOBAL Organizational Members of any size can apply for these grants up to $1,000 per family. We will review eligible Family Relief grant applications and provide them on a first-come-first-serve-basis until we run out of such funds.
  2.

  3. COVID-19 Emergency Organizational Relief GLOBAL Grants – Only GLOBAL Organizational Members with annual revenue under $250,000 can apply for this general operating grant up to $5,000. We will review eligible Organizational grant applications on May 27. We will select as many strong applications with the most need based on the limited funds we have. We hope to cut checks by the end of the second week of June or earlier if possible.

We have made the two applications as simple as possible so we can process them quickly. You can apply for our COVID-19 Emergency GLOBAL Relief Grants Monday, April 27, 2020 through close of business Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

The support our GLOBAL Members provide families and individuals with Down syndrome is more important than ever. Together we will weather this storm and continue to ensure that we protect and improve the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families. In the meantime, as always, please stay healthy and be safe.
