Linda Crnic Institute Lectures: “DNA Methylation in Down Syndrome: A Possible Therapeutic Target”
Ben Tycko, MD, PhD
Professor of Pathology, Columbia University
December 7, 2011
Dr. Tycko’s lab is pursuing several different lines of research:
1) the epigenetics and genetics of Wilms tumors, acute myeloid leukemias, and other human cancers;
2) the identities and the physiological functions of imprinted genes;
3) the genetic and epigenetic basis for phenotypes in Down syndrome. His lab also collaborates with others at Columbia to study the population genetics of Alzheimer’s disease.
