Amy McDevitt brings educational credentials, and business world experience, into her current academic environment. She completed a Master’s in Physical Therapy (MPT) and subsequent Doctorate (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine. She is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
To complement her interest in orthopaedics, she completed manual therapy certification and fellowship training through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
She has been a practicing clinician in the Denver area for 15 years. Her business experience in healthcare includes business plan development, including budgeting, marketing, revenue development, and staffing for an outpatient corporate physical therapy practice in the Denver area. McDevitt is active in clinical research, and her research interests include continued work on thoracic manipulation to treat shoulder pain and trigger point dry needling.
She is a practicing clinician at the University of Colorado Health-Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic in Denver. She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions across diverse patient populations. She is full-time faculty at the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Program.
