Summary: The CDRC multidisciplinary Down Syndrome Program provides evaluations for children with Down syndrome and is the only dedicated Down syndrome clinic in the Pacific Northwest and one of the largest in the western U.S. Patients spend a half-day seeing specialists in Developmental Pediatrics/Pediatric Neurology, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology. We maintain close relationships with the OSHU Casey Eye Institute, the Pediatric Cardiology and Otolaryngology groups at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital for those who require specialized evaluations. Parents and referring providers receive copies of notes from the comprehensive evaluations. Clinicians from our program also provide community lectures and consultation to local schools as well as Oregon and Washington parent support groups.
