Summary: The Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics Division offers comprehensive consultation, evaluation and treatment for children, birth to age 21, with developmental and behavioral problems, including Down syndrome. A Developmental Pediatrician is board certified in General Pediatrics and in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Developmental Pediatricians have additional training and expertise in identifying and managing disorders of development, learning and behavior. We communicate regularly with the family, referring physician and school system to insure best outcomes for children referred to our practice.

Summary: The Down Syndrome Clinic and Research Center provides interdisciplinary and comprehensive evaluations and services from birth to adulthood to patients from all over the United States. Our goal is to help all patients reach their full potential and function as independently as possible in family, school and community life. We specialize in assisting patients with challenges including: Pediatric developmental delay, complex neurodevelopmental and behavioral concerns, & adolescent and adult mental health needs. We emphasize clinical care and research to treat underlying cognitive and neurobehavioral dysfunction, and continue to develop research studies to examine that neurobiological basis of intellectual and co-occurring mental health impairments in Down syndrome.
