Down Syndrome Clinic at Children’s Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN
|
Affiliation: |
Children’s Minnesota |
Summary: |
At Children’s Minnesota, we have treated thousands of kids with Down syndrome over the past 30 years. We are collaboration between Medical Genetics and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics to ensure that all medical and developmental concerns are carefully evaluated and addressed. Special attention is devoted to medical needs and issues which are more prevalent in children with Down syndrome, including growth and nutrition, thyroid function, gastrointestinal issues, vision and hearing, musculoskeletal development, and sleep. Developmental and behavioral assessments are provided to make recommendations for outpatient therapy services, educational support, and behavioral intervention. Our developmental pediatricians and geneticists are experts in caring for individuals with Down syndrome and provide up-to-the-minute, research-based care. |
