Duke Children’s Comprehensive Down Syndrome Program, Durham, NC

Summary: The Duke Comprehensive Down Syndrome Program was developed to provide family-centered medical care for individuals with Down syndrome. Using the guidelines developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group for systematic, preventative care, our physicians work in conjunction with the patient’s primary care provider. The clinic team focuses on maximizing the development of individuals with Down syndrome by managing medical issues, connecting them with community resources, and teaching families to advocate for their children.
